A few details

Items found in a derelict cottage (perhaps a smiddy?); a cast iron pot, an anvil and a wicker creel. Its now so easy to whip out the phone ... or the digital camera and document what you see. But are you really seeing it? and are you really making a record? In order to sketch or describe an observation, you really need to look at your subject. Take care of your notes and digital files afterwards. You and others may find great value in what you record in the future. © The Literary Estate of John Morton Boyd
