Golden Eagle


This young golden eagle or eaglet has been hatched for only a few days. At this age, it is dependent upon its parents not only for food, but also for protection and warmth.

Laurie was specially licenced by Scottish Natural Heritage to visit the eagles nest and to set up a hide in order to photograph the birds. It is an offence to disturb eagles at their nest.
