Horsing around
In a highly innovative and entertaining attempt to photograph the snowy owls on Fetlar, photographer Dennis Coutts and Bobby dressed as a pantomime horse in order to get slightly closer to the birds.
It was a technique used by pioneering photographers Richard and Cherry Kearton who photographed successfully from a model of a cow - only encountering one minor mishap when it blew over leaving the erstwhile photographer stranded upside down!
