Stalking Telescope

This style of telescope is used by deer stalkers. This particular model is hand built in Inverness and features a series of tubes which fit inside each other. It is finished with leather and supplied with a leather case. The telescope extends to around three feet in length (90cm), but compresses for carrying in its own leather case, to a little under a foot (c25cm). If these telescopes get wet they can be unscrewed and split to their component parts and dried out - a great advantage after stalking in a Highland autumn.
