Stewart Taylor

In January, 2007 Stewart decided to look into a new challenge and find the green shield moss - Buxbaumia viridis. Its known from several locations but is rare and quite difficult to find. In this picture he has just found his first site. The rotten logs are 'typical' habitat and over the next few weeks by becoming familiar with the species and searching out likely sites based on his evolving knowledge of the species' requirements, Stewart was able to add several new sites to the species distribution. © Stewart Taylor Collection
